Ford sales for Dec 2011

For Ford this was a good year;

Nationally, Ford saw a 22% increase in retail Ford car/truck sales as compared with December 2010 (144,366 units retailed) and regionally we saw a 15% increase in retail Ford car/truck sales.

For Ford of Kirkland we had a good year as well ;

Ford of Kirkland was the Seattle Zone A's Top Volume dealer YTD with 1214 Cars/Trucks combined (#3 overall in Seattle/Alaska Region for Ford).

2012 Lava red Ford Mustang GT 5.0

Dan Lozott the Car Guy Dan L with a short story for the 2012 Ford Mustang.

I have to say the new 5.0 Mustang is a fun to drive muscle car. I have had a few over the years as a Ford sales person, a 1996 GT Coupe, a 1999 Special Edition GT Convertible, a 1968 V-8 Convertible and a 2003 Cobra Convertible. I have to say the 5.0 feels like a street legal race car. With the new electric steering you can select Sport mode for more percise driving feel, the Standard mode for a nice tight feel with less effort or a Comfort mode that makes it easy to steer. For Daily driving I like the Standard mode as the Sport mode has a little more effort to the sterring. I really enjoy the quick and easy short shift 6 speed. In fact it is so much better than my 03 Cobra and I feel this 5.0 with premium fuel could really give the others a run for the Money. So far I have only 500 miles on my new Lava Red Mustang so I have only raced one older Saleen. Unfortunatly it was only a race to 3 gear as once I did that I was gone and he could only watch me pull away. Of course I slowed down when I hit 70 and waited for him to catch up.

My 3rd tank of gas, the first 2 I used 91. this time I put in 87 and have driven about 1/4 tank and can feel the difference already. The car feels quieter a little less aggresive. Fuel economy is a little less to so I think I will burn the good stuff and have some fun while doing it. Once I get a couple thousand miles on this car, I just may go looking for someone who wants to race. I will keep you posted here.

Plus I will get some more pictures for you as well as the Lava red is a color you need to see to appriciate. At night it gives off a plumb color, overcast days you would think it's Black and when the sun light shines on it the burgandy color comes alive.

We have been selling the new 2011 Ford Edge with the Ford My touch and so far it has been a HOT Seller. If you have not had a chance to drive one, I would strongly suggest you swing into your Ford Dealer and take one for a drive. With the new Suspension tweaks Ford Engineers did to this car it drives so much better then the previous model. I should know I had a 2007 for 4 years and just bought a 2011. My wife can tell the difference in the ride, braking and said it is mush smoother and quieter. She also likes the power lift gate, remote starting and ambient lighting. While she drives she can talk hands free on her cell phone and have the Sync system read her her e-mails. Still has the room to shop at Costco and fill the cargo area with all her favorite stuff. She has even been able to lug around furniture to take to her kids homess and help them with the interior decorating she likes to do.

2011 Explorer is coming soon, Check it out

Both my wife and I agree this is one of the nicest looking examples of SUV's coming out this Winter. We currently have a 2007 Ford Edge and wanted the 2011 when it came out, till we saw this new Explorer. Much like the Edge in design but also some of the Range Rover look as well as the Mercedes - Benz look too. I think the White Pearl color makes this Explorer look Luxurious. With the Limited coming with just about every option we currently have on our Edge SEL plus. Long list of additions include the new Ford Mytouch, Adaptive Cruise, Rear Camera... It should be the Best Fuel Economy SUV on the market with the EccoBoost 4 Cylinder due out latter in 2011. I think we will wait and get one.

Hyundai Equus will be coming to a dealer near you soon

The Equus will utilize the same 4.6-liter V-8 found under the hood of the Genesis in the beginning of production. It produces 385 hp and 333 lb-ft of torque on premium gas.  Built to compete with Lexus and the Mercedes-B. Look at this and you can see how they came close in looks styling and a long list of standard options.

Adaptive air springs allow the driver to select a firmer, sportier setting or stay with the standard, comfort-oriented suspension stiffness. All four corners use a multi link suspension setup and 19-inch wheels are standard.

 Hyundai started off with the Genesis sedan. The premium, rear-wheel-drive entry showed the Koreans had the confidence and desire to take on more prestigious and more established brands by going head-to-head with the likes of the Lexus and the Mercedes-Benz. Hyundai isn't slowing down either. Hyundai is continuing with the more luxurious 2011 Hyundai Equus.
